Dabu printing is a traditional craft from Rajasthan, mud-resist hand-block printing art with an elaborate process in a unique way of dyeing and printing practiced mostly in certain pockets in the state of Rajasthan, India. Like the essence of earth, Dabu prints remain the primeval printing method. The prints are now popularly known as Akola Dabu prints and like the patterns, these fabrics are deeply embedded in the cultural identities of various Rajasthani communities. Stories of the earth and dye, rest safely in hands of the craftsmen.
